Send it the email and nothing else
3mFrom memory
Fundamentals 10
That is this lesson. Below is an email of the kind that lands at 8:40 on a Monday. The family, the agency and the carrier are invented. You are going to send the tool the email and nothing else: no policy, no carrier name, no dec page. Everything on this page is invented, so work only from this page: do not swap in a real client's email, dec page or policy number. First, a guess.
Guess first
You are about to send the tool a client's email with no policy attached. Will it ask which policy or carrier the family has before it answers?
And how sure are you?
Nobody else sees this and nothing here is marked. Being wrong here is worth more than being right.
Reply to this client email as their insurance agent. Under 120 words, plain language.
The email. Read it once first.
Whether the family with water in the basement is covered is not in your head, it is on a dec page, and the tool has never seen it. Fifteen minutes on the check that replaces knowing.
Lesson 01 · Where the answer lives
By the end you can
- Name the one document that settles a coverage question, and find the line on it
- Reply to a client's am I covered email without saying yes or no
- Run the Form Check on a sentence you cannot vouch for yourself
What you need
Any of the four, free tier. Nothing to upload. The dec page you need is on this page, and it is invented.
Read the reply the way Marisol would

Open the dec page and find the line
5mNow the paper. Below is the family's dec page cut down to what matters, and every line of it is invented: Carrier A does not exist and neither do the form numbers. Everything a real dec page carries that the law protects has been left off, which is lesson 2's subject.
This is the Form Check. It is what the One-Thing Check becomes when the fact is not yours to vouch for. Pick the one statement in the reply that would cost the most if it were wrong. Name the document that settles it. Open that document and find the line, or send the question to the person who holds it. Nothing leaves the agency until that is done. Do it now: the statement is whether the family is covered, the document is the dec page above, and the line is on the forms schedule.

Give it the limit and watch what it does
3mGo back to the same chat. This time tell it the one line you found, and watch what it does with it.
The client's homeowners policy has a water back-up and sump overflow endorsement with a 5,000 limit and a 500 deductible. Flood is not covered. Rewrite the reply to Marisol, under 120 words, plain language.

Where that leaves you
You found the line because this lesson handed you a dec page with nothing on it the law protects. Your real files are not like that. A real dec page carries a name, an address, a policy number and a date of birth, and the tool wants all of it. Lesson 2 is how a client file goes into the tool with none of that, and what your state's law says you protect.
That was lesson 1 of 30. A free account saves your progress and shows you what the other 29 lessons cover.
